Gibraltar Apostille Service
UPDATE 16/05/2022 – We are no longer able to provide this service.
If you have a document that originates from Gibraltar or is signed by a solicitor or notary public in Gibraltar and you intend to use the document in another country then you will require a Gibraltar issued apostille certificate for that document.
Gibraltar issued documents that are to be used outside of Gibraltar must be legalised with a Gibraltar apostille certificate. This results in the documents being seen as authentic and valid by other governments around the world who agree to the Hague Convention.
Gibraltar registry office certificates such as Gibraltar birth certificates, marriage certificates and death certificates must be processed as originals or Gibraltar registry office issued certified copies. No photocopies will be accepted.
Documents that have not been issued by the Gibraltar registry office must be signed by a solicitor or notary pubic who is a practising legal professional in Gibraltar. The signature must be an original and not a photocopy.
We are not currently able to assist with the Gibraltar apostille. We can assist with any document from the UK which requires the UK apostille. Gibraltar issued documents can not be issued with a UK apostille certificate.
