Attesting Degrees for Qatar
Processing higher educational documents for use in Qatar can be very confusing. Individual certificates cannot be legalised on their own. The Embassy now requests that applications for attestation must include the following THREE documents-
- Certificate or Diploma
- Transcript
- Letter from the education provider (university of college) confirming ALL of the following points–
- The qualification and certificates authenticity
- The mode and type of study (e.g. full-time, part-time, distance learning, e-learning, face to face)
- The place of study and place where the examinations were held
- The awarded title of the certificate issued (Degree BSc or BA, Masters MA, or Doctorate PhD)
- The duration of the course studied
- The actual dates of study start date and end date)
Important! If we are legalising your academic documents we require a copy of your passport. If you are a non-resident studying in the UK you also need to provide a copy of your tier 4 residence permit.

Embassy Attestation FAQ’s
Yes. If you have several documents for the same country (for example, a degree certificate, transcript, and police clearance), they can usually be submitted together for apostille and embassy attestation. This can save time and reduce courier costs. However, each document is charged separately by the embassy. Each document is normally attested individually as most embassies do not accept documents that are prepared into sets.
For example, if you have a degree and transcript for use in the UAE, each document must have an apostille and the embassy will attest each document individually.
If you have several documents we can provide a reduced fee.
Any country that is not part of the Hague Apostille Convention will normally require embassy attestation.
This includes (but is not limited to) the UAE, Qatar, China, Kuwait, Vietnam, and Egypt. please visit our embassy attestation page for links to the countries we provide most services for.
This really depends on the document and the embassy rules. In most cases original documents are required. Some embassies will also accept certified copies. We will advise you on what is needed for your specific documents.

- Adoption Certificates

- Medical Note – Doctor’s Note
- Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage

The cost depends on the embassy, as each charges its own legalisation fee per document. The fee for different documents can also vary by embassy. There is also the cost of the apostille and any solicitor certification if required. We provide clear prices including all fees.
Embassy attestation is the process of having your UK document legalised/attested by the embassy or consulate of the country where it will be used. It confirms that the document has been properly authenticated in the UK and is recognised as valid abroad. Visit our embassy attestation page for information on the most common countries we provide services for.
An apostille is issued by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and is accepted in countries that are members of the Hague Apostille Convention. Embassy attestation is required when the destination country is not a member of the convention (e.g. UAE, Qatar, China, Egypt). In these cases, your document must be apostilled first and then attested by the embassy.
Virtually all UK documents can be attested with embassies that offer attestation services.
Common examples include:
Birth, marriage, and death certificates
Academic certificates and transcripts
Police clearance certificates (e.g. ACRO)
Medical certificates
Company documents (e.g. certificates of incorporation, powers of attorney)
This is a very small sample of documents. You can find more details on the documents we legalise on the documents page.
Attestation can vary by embassy. There are different submission requirements and many different document rules for each embassy. Do not worry, we are here to help. You can contact us for guidance if you are not sure how to attest your document.
The simple version on the attestation process is –
Document preparation – some documents need solicitor certification before they can be apostilled.
Apostille – the FCDO attaches an apostille to confirm the document’s authenticity.
Embassy legalisation – the relevant embassy/consulate stamps, certifies or seals the document to confirm it is valid for use in their country.
Using our embassy attestation service make the process trouble free. We provide guidance on how to attest the document and take care of everything for you.
