The UAE Embassy Move to Digital Attestation
The UAE Embassy in London has transitioned to a digital attestation service for UK documents intended for use in the United Arab Emirates. This change, effective from late February 2025, replaces traditional ink stamps and stickers with a digitally attested PDF document.
Key Points of the New Digital Attestation Process:
UK Apostille Requirement:
Before submitting to the UAE Embassy, ensure your document has a UK apostille from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
We send your document, bearing the UK apostille, to the UAE Embassy.
The Embassy will scan your document and apply a digital attestation.
Return of Documents:
You’ll receive a digitally attested PDF via email.
The original paper document, with the apostille attached, will be returned to you by courier
Please note that the UAE Embassy has also increased attestation fees as part of this update. For the most current information on fees and procedures, refer to our UAE Embassy Attestation page
This digital attestation aims to streamline the authentication process, making it more efficient for individuals and businesses dealing with UAE-related documentation.
