During this year’s Christmas period, the Hague Apostille service will be open for the majority of the festive season. However, organisations that contribute to the legalisation service such as solicitor firms, the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office and many UK based embassies will be closed or operating reduced hours during the Christmas week. This may have an impact on the length of time in which some documents take to complete.

Christmas closure dates are staggered during the festive period across the organisations we work with. Our dedicated team will be working hard to ensure that all orders are completed in the fastest possible time frame from when they are received into our office. However, any apostille orders that are received into our office after 19th December may not complete before the New Year (subject to document checks).

Please also take into consideration that any embassy attestation orders received into our office after early December could also be delayed due to Christmas closures and may not complete until the New Year.

When sending your order to our office, we would strongly recommend using a guaranteed service such as Royal Mail Special Delivery or a local courier firm. The couriers should not be affected by the Christmas rush in the same way as 1st and 2nd class post will be, and the courier services are generally insured against loss.

We offer a UK Courier return service for £12 per order, with the additional benefit that the courier can be contacted at any time for an update on delivery as the service is fully tracked. We would urge all customers to consider this option for secure return of your documents during the Christmas period.
