Documents originating from the Republic of Ireland must be legalised in the Republic of Ireland with an Irish apostille certificate. Irish documents are not acceptable for a UK issued apostille.
Republic of Ireland issued government documents such as birth, death or marriage certificates, court or non impediment documents are to be legalised in the Republic of Ireland as well as documents signed by a Republic of Ireland registered practicing solicitor or notary public.
A Republic of Ireland apostille service provider will ensure that your documents are legalised in the correct manner. Once legalised with the apostille, your Irish documents can be used as authentic and valid outside of their country of issue.
If your document is to be signed by a solicitor or notary public in the Republic of Ireland you must ensure that the document has been signed before it is sent to us for Republic of Ireland apostille legalisation.
Please note, we cannot offer the Irish apostille.
Northern Ireland is part of the UK and these document can be processed under our standard apostille service.
If further advice is required please do not hesitate to contact us for assistance with your legalisation order.
We do provide embassy attestation for customers with Irish documents that need to be stamped by an embassy in London. Many of the embassies in London, including Qatar and Kuwait, attest documents from Ireland. You can find the fees and processing times on our embassy attestation pages.
