The Communication Workers Union (CWU) have announced planned strike action in the near future. This will disrupt the services offered by Royal Mail as the members of the CWU working for Royal Mail are usually responsible for the collection, sorting and delivery of parcels and letters throughout the UK.

The planned strike action will take place on the following dates –

• Friday 26 August 2022
• Wednesday 31 August 2022
• Thursday 8 September 2022
• Friday 30 September 2022
• Saturday 1 October 2022
• Thursday 13th October 2022
• Thursday 20th October 2022
• Tuesday 25th October 2022
• Wednesday 2nd November 2022
• Thursday 3rd November 2022
• Friday 4th November 2022
• Tuesday 8th November 2022
• Wednesday 9th November 2022
• Thursday 10th November 2022
• Monday 28th November 2022
• Wednesday 14th December 2022
• Thursday 15th December 2022
• Friday 23rd December 2022
• Saturday 24th December 2022

Further dates have also been announced by the CWU for functional strike action which impacts parts of their operation on the following:

• Processing, Distribution, International, Collections, Admin: 3rd, 9th, 15th, 24th November and 1st December 2022
• Delivery: 4th, 10th, 16th, 25th November and 2nd December 2022
• Network: 2nd, 8th, 14th, 23rd, 30th November 2022

Our services are reliant on postal services so this will have an impact on the services we provide. We do have contingency plans in place and will make every effort to return completed orders using a private courier firm if you have purchased our UK next day courier return delivery option as part of your order. Items being returned by first class post will be delayed on the dates above as Royal Mail will not be collecting these items from us on these days.

When sending your order to us we recommend using a tracked service where possible and a courier if your are sending on a date affected by the strikes. If it is convenient you are welcome to hand deliver your documents to our office in Coventry directly. If you decide to send items to us using Royal Mail on, or close to, a strike date please allow more time for us to receive your delivery.

We understand that delays with orders can be frustrating and we will be working to minimise disruption to our services in any reasonable way we can. However, the strike action is unfortunately outside of our control. We thank you for your patience during this period.
