Apostille for Non-Lucrative Visa for Spain
If you want to live is Spain for longer than 6 months without working you will need to apply for one of several types of visas with the Spanish Consulate in London.
UK citizens that want to live in Spain can apply for a Non-Lucrative Residence Visa. Often referred to as a Non Lucrative Visa - NLV. This is done through the Spanish Consulate and you need to meet the new requirements and provide supporting documents with associated UK apostille certificates and translations.
The visa lasts for 12 months after which you can renew the visa or apply for a different type of visa.
Why Do You Need a Non Lucrative Visa for Spain?
Brexit! It is as simple as that. The UK left the EU so UK citizens no longer have an automatic right to live in Spain. You may need to apply for a specific type of visa to live in Spain for longer than six months of the year.
What documents are required for a Non-Lucrative Visa?
The standard documents most commonly required are -- ACRO – Criminal Record Background Check

- Marriage Certificate – If applying for 2 visas for a married couple - This must be newly issued (a duplicate from the registrar) within the last 3 months
You will also need to provide translations that meet the Spanish Consulate requirements. They must be prepared correctly and sworn.
